Year 11 Drama students have been studying theatrical traditions and performance styles. As part of this study they have explored the HSC topic of Black Comedy and the play Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh. Students looked at why we laugh at the taboo and uncomfortable, the dark side of human nature. As part of their assessment the students demonstrated their knowledge through a self-devised essay performance.
