This year’s College production saw a creative twist on Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale with Alex in Wonderland, a uniquely SPC adaptation of the classic Alice in Wonderland. Following Alex, a curious young man on a surreal journey through Looking Glass Land, the production offered a fresh take on a beloved story, blending humour, heart and a touch of madness.
While the all-male cast wasn’t planned, it became a beautiful nod to the roots of theatre, allowing our boys to embrace roles far beyond themselves. With 42 students involved, 19 of whom were performing or crewing for the first time, the show highlighted the inclusivity, courage and creativity of our community.
At its core, Alex in Wonderland is a story of personal growth, identity and self-belief, values our students brought to life with energy and commitment. It was a celebration of imagination and teamwork, reminding us all of the magic that happens when we step outside our comfort zone.
Thank you to Dr Lavorato, Mr Byrne, and all the families who supported this production behind the scenes. Your encouragement of the Arts continues to inspire and empower our students to shine.
