CSDA Public Speaking resumed two weeks ago, and our own Patrick Alphonse of Year 10 proudly represented the College in the remote finals on Friday.
The nature of this year’s finals meant that speakers had to pretend to engage with an audience while addressing a webcam, difficult for anyone to do. Patrick engaged creatively with the topic ‘Tik Tok’ to explore the personal and societal impacts of procrastination. His speech was clever, well-constructed, superbly delivered and he narrowly missed out on a place. Congratulations Patrick, well done under such difficult circumstances!
