The annual Clean Up Australia Day event was held on Sunday 1 March 2020. The Faith in Action Team and the wider school community took part in a variety of initiatives throughout Week 5 to show their support for this important environmental event. Some of these initiatives included creating promotional posters with facts about the importance of recycling and disposing of our waste appropriately, bringing in waste free lunches, as well as a school clean up during lunch on Friday 28 February.
In addition to these, on Sunday 1 March over 50 boys came with their gloves and enthusiasm to extend the clean up to the surrounding Strathfield streets. The boys worked together in mixed age groups to clean up their designated zones. While Strathfield is one of the cleanest suburbs in Sydney, it was amazing to see how much waste the boys collected in just one hour.
