Each year the College marks the commencement of Lent with an Ash Wednesday Liturgy. This year we focused on our theme “Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” (1 John 3:18) so that we can make promises to ensure we are renewing and deepening our relationships with God, others, ourselves and the earth.
Year 12 students gathered together and went out to the rest of the community to mark all with the ash as a reminder that we are called to ‘turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel’. We make an extra effort in this season to pray, to fast and to give funds and support to our Lenten Partners including Lucas Gardens School in Canada Bay. May God bless us in this season of cleansing and renewal.
