Each year at St Patrick’s College, Year 9 Commerce students study a topic called Running a Business.
During this topic, students learn about various decisions which business owners make on a daily basis. These include what to produce, what price to charge and how to advertise a product to consumers. To allow teachers to determine the extent of learning which has taken place during the topic, Commerce students are assessed on their ability to run a business for one day here at the College. From chicken burgers and kebabs, to waffles and donuts, sweet and savoury taste buds were well and truly satisfied. All profits made on the day have been donated to the Year 9 charity focus group.
