Year 10 Study Coastal Environments

21/03/2019

Recently, Year 10 Geography students undertook a field trip to Sydney’s northern beaches. During the trip, students applied various geographical skills as they investigated the causes, extent, consequences and management of environmental change at Dee Why and Collaroy beaches.

This learning experience provided the boys with an opportunity to see first-hand the functioning of coastal environments. This included the manner in which human and biophysical processes change the shape of beaches as well as the management strategies used to address coastal erosion.
