St Patrick's College Strathfield

Mother’s Day at St Patrick’s

15/05/2017

On Friday 12 May we honoured all mothers of the College with two masses where mothers and sons, along with some grandmothers and aunties celebrated side by side.  The young men of the College expressed their gratitude and love of their mums through word, prayer and action – giving roses, kisses and hugs. The College Principal, Dr Craig Wattam, noted “one thing that struck me in one of the Masses was the profound unspoken love that I saw on display for the entirety of the Mass” from many of the boys and mums. Our chaplain, Fr Jack Evans, celebrated the masses and led the boys in blessing their mums, while some of the senior students spoke of what a mother means to them. Our liturgical celebration was supported by the talent and commitment of the College’s orchestra and choir. God bless all the mothers of St Patrick’s College – past, present and future.
