On the eve of the feast of St Joachim and St Anne (grandparents of Jesus), Fr John reminded us that our grandparents are the custodians of great wisdom and experience of times many of us can only imagine.
Friday 24 July was the wonderful celebration of Year 5 students and their grandparents. Despite a chilly start, love soon warmed up the College Chapel as the boys took over hosting their beloved elders.
Following Mass, it was time for the boys to guide their grandparents towards a welcome cup of tea/coffee and some delicious treats. They then had the opportunity for a quick visit to the classrooms to see where their grandsons spend their days.
The love, smiles and affection among families was beautiful, and we congratulate the boys on being proud hosts. Thank you to all grandparents for the role that you play in the lives of your grandsons and our College community.
Every boy who walks through our gates begins a journey shaped by faith, friendship and challenge. This is where confidence grows, talents emerge and young men learn to live with purpose and heart.
