Through a balanced focus on wellbeing, learning and participation, students are supported to build confidence and develop a strong sense of belonging.
At the heart of the Middle School experience is connection. Students are encouraged to form positive and respectful relationships with their peers, teachers, coaches and homeroom mentors. These relationships provide the foundation for personal growth, helping each boy feel known, supported and valued within the College community. Parents are also active partners in this journey, working alongside staff to ensure every student is guided with care and consistency.
We aim to forge strong ties to the school, the teachers and the peer group that will help create the fine men of tomorrow, men of whom St Patrick’s can continue to be proud.
Middle School offers a rich academic and Co-Curricular program designed to challenge thinking, nurture talents and encourage participation. Boys are given opportunities to explore new interests, develop resilience and build character through both classroom learning and wider College life. This comprehensive approach enables each student to flourish, preparing them with the skills, confidence and sense of purpose needed for the years ahead.
Our Middle School draws from many feeder schools across the metropolitan area and caters for students of all abilities.
There are seven classes in both Years 5 and 6, where support for both extension and students with learning difficulties is provided by the Stage 3 teaching staff and our Diverse Learning Centre. Students are based in a set classroom with their own teacher, but utilise specialist teachers and facilities throughout the campus for Visual Arts, Music, Personal Development/Health/Physical Education, Languages, and Library. Languages taught include Italian and French.
St Patrick's College has built generations of leaders grounded in faith and integrity. Our students thrive academically and grow as people of conscience.
Every boy who walks through our gates begins a journey shaped by faith, friendship and challenge. This is where confidence grows, talents emerge and young men learn to live with purpose and heart.
