Adam Doueihi is a professional rugby league footballer and distinguished Old Boy of St Patrick’s College, Strathfield. A versatile backline talent, Adam has forged a strong career in the National Rugby League (NRL) and proudly represents Lebanon at international level, exemplifying the College’s tradition of sporting excellence.
Born in Eastwood, New South Wales, Adam grew up playing junior rugby league with the Strathfield Raiders and Dundas Shamrocks. At St Patrick’s College, he developed his athletic range, representing the Australian Schoolboys in rugby union in 2016 before committing fully to league. His foundation in both codes reflects the broad sporting culture of the College.
Adam debuted in first-grade rugby league with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2018, showcasing his playmaking and kicking skills. In 2020 he signed with the Wests Tigers, where he has been a key contributor across multiple seasons, playing primarily at centre and five-eighth. Known for his strong running game, tactical kicking and versatility, Adam has become a core figure in the Tigers’ backline and a valued leader on and off the field.
Of Lebanese heritage through his grandparents, Adam has proudly represented Lebanon in international rugby league, including appearances at the 2017 and 2022 Rugby League World Cups. His performances with the Cedars highlight his adaptability and commitment to representing his cultural roots at the highest level.
Adam’s journey from local junior competitions and St Patrick’s College fields to professional rugby league is a testament to his dedication and resilience. Suffering numerous knee injuries during his time at the Wests Tigers, Adam spent extended periods away from the field. His fierce loyalty and hard work shown through these difficult challenges were ultimately rewarded by the club and a genuine demonstration of the values that St Patrick’s College aims to instil. His dual-code beginnings and international impact continue to inspire aspiring athletes within the community and Old Boys network.
Every boy who walks through our gates begins a journey shaped by faith, friendship and challenge. This is where confidence grows, talents emerge and young men learn to live with purpose and heart.
