High Achievers’ Assembly

Following the celebration of community and unity in our Opening Mass, the College held its annual High Achievers’ Assembly, a gathering designed to promote the distinguished academic achievements of the 2025 Graduating Class.

As a community, we welcomed back graduates who had all achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 90 and above. Each was presented with their Academic Excellence Award for Distinguished Achievement in the State. In all, a total of sixty-one students or 34% of the cohort achieved an ATAR above 90; these young men represent the top echelon of HSC candidates in the State.

In particular, we congratulated Lucas Martin who was named College Dux for 2025 having achieved an ATAR of 99.35. Christopher Costa was named Proxime Accessit with an ATAR of 99.20 and our third-place getter was Awtel Haddad with an ATAR of 98.95. This year, we were proud to announce that thirty-one students of the Class of 2025 had achieved an ATAR above 95. In addition, eight students were placed on the State’s All-Round Achievers’ List: Michael Atra, Christopher Costa, Awtel Haddad, Joshua Malone, Lucas Martin, Joseph Rigon, Dominic Short and Daniel Terrone. Three students, Joseph Rigon, Nicholas Macher and Ethan Eflak were placed on the Top Achievers’ List having received a State Ranking for Business Studies, Industrial Technology and Information and Digital Technology respectively.

Adding to the gravitas of the occasion was the announcement and presentation of the 2026 Br McGlade Scholarship recipients: Samuel Naccarella, Ruben Rochester and Luca Franze. The Br McGlade Scholarship was named in honour of Br James Athanasius McGlade and is awarded to prospective senior students who have achieved the highest scores in the McGlade Scholarship examinations supported by an excellent academic record and active contribution to, and involvement in, College life.

These young men have done themselves, their cohort, their College, and their families proud by their outstanding achievements. We share in their pride and congratulate each and every one of them for their hard work and determination in their academic pursuits.
