Breen Oval and the wider College grounds were buzzing throughout the day, with strong crowds supporting teams across Football and Rugby. Whether cheering from the sidelines, catching up with old friends or moving between fixtures to support multiple teams, the SPC community created the warm and vibrant atmosphere that has become synonymous with Back to Breen.

Adding to the sense of occasion was the return of Old Boys from the Classes of 1981, 1996 and 2001, who gathered to celebrate their milestone reunions and reconnect with former classmates and the College.

The day held particular significance for the College’s Year 12 students and their families as they celebrated their final Back to Breen Day. A highlight saw the First XI and First XV players walk onto their respective fields alongside their parents ahead of their final games on College soil. Team presentations and family walkouts provided a fitting tribute to the commitment, friendships and pride these students have developed while representing the Blue, Black and Gold.

There was also plenty to celebrate on the field. The First XI and 15A Football teams secured qualification for their respective Grand Finals, while seven Rugby teams progressed to the ISA Semi Finals in Bathurst.

The College also acknowledges the P&F Association for its contribution to the day, with the Supporters’ Day barbecues at the Powell Pavilion and Breen Oval providing popular gathering places for the community throughout the fixtures.
