Alice Springs Immersion

During the recent term break, nine Year 11 students, accompanied by Mr Biviano and Mr Wallace, took part in the Alice Springs Immersion.

The highlight was a week with St Joseph’s Flexible Learning Centre, building genuine connections through shared interests like sport and music. Despite challenging living conditions, the Flexi students brought positive energy and a passion for sharing their culture.

Our boys learned Arrente stories of the land, made bush medicine, learned language, went ‘bush-bashing’, cooked kangaroo tail, and took part in a powerful cultural awareness session on history, colonisation, traditions and environmental care.

The immersion also included visits to Uluru, Kata Tjuṯa and King’s Canyon — an unforgettable, perspective-shaping experience for all involved.

Begin your journey and let your light shine

Every boy who walks through our gates begins a journey shaped by faith, friendship and challenge. This is where confidence grows, talents emerge and young men learn to live with purpose and heart.
