During our ANZAC Assembly, we came together to commemorate all who have served and died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. During the ceremony, Mr Viney spoke eloquently about this year’s theme, ‘Women In War’ outlining women’s support and involvement during different campaigns, “It has taken decades to acknowledge their contribution and for them to be recognised for the talents they possess, the passion they display and the courage they demonstrate.”
Following Mr Viney’s address, Mr Fox read the names of our fallen Old Boys while Year 12 student, Daniel Barzan played a haunting rendition of the Last Post before we observed a minute’s silence and the laying of the wreath. Upon conclusion, we sang the Australian National Anthem with pride and vigour. It was a great opportunity to offer our thanks and prayers to all who endeavour to bring justice, freedom, and peace for all. Lest We Forget.
