Each year it is important for us to stop and consider those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We are a truly blessed community and thus we are expected to care for the other; in this case those who will have little to nothing to experience the joy of Christmas as we do. Each homeroom in the College collected hampers of food and gifts in the hope they will brighten somebody’s day (and week). It is a special privilege to give to another, especially when we don’t really know who they are. This year we supported families in need through SVDP, disaffected youth through Catholic Care, and women and children surviving domestic abuse. Not only do we give, but we pray and we offer our support where possible so that others may know that we are one human family who is only strong through the work and interaction of all.
