On Friday 9 February, staff and students gathered to welcome the new school year, share in the celebration of our faith and establish a commitment to the Theme for the Year, “Arise, for it is your duty. We are with you; so have courage and act!” (Ezra 10:4). This shared liturgy united, deepened and enlivened all who work and study at the College. It was a chance for us to commit ourselves to all that lies ahead this year, and recognise the need for courage, compassion, mercy and action. Fr Patrick McInerney ssc broke open our theme in a memorable homily and each Year group made a prayer and commitment for all we want to see in the world, underpinned by our Gospel Spirituality.
