Vision Statement
To deliver support and assistance to the
Headmaster and staff of the College, through the generosity and companionship of the Association’s membership.
Membership
Membership of the Parents’ and Friends Association is open to all parents or guardians of pupils currently attending the College and to current members of the College teaching & non-teaching staff.
Membership is also open to friends of the College who are interested in the promotion of the objectives of the Association and who are approved by a majority vote of members at a general meeting.

Objectives
- To provide a means of meeting for all persons associated with St Patrick’s College, Strathfield and to promote and foster a co-operative spirit amongst parents.
- To provide a means of liaison between parents and friends of children attending the school and the Headmaster and teachers of the school.
- To raise funds for the provision of education support, sporting activities and cultural activities of the school.
- To give public expression when the need arises in matters affecting Catholic education or education in general.
- To provide opportunities for informing parents and friends of current developments in education.
- To foster interest and community support in the school.
Office Bearers
Officer Bearers for the P&F Executive are elected during the Annual General Meeting which is held during 4th term. The positions that are declared vacant at each AGM are:
- President .
- Vice President I.
- Vice President II.
- Secretary.
- Treasurer.
- Social Coordinator.
- Delegate.
Current office bearers can be contacted via College Reception.
Meetings
One General Meeting is held each term as notified in the College Diary. The Annual General Meeting is conducted at the conclusion of the General Meeting in Term 4.
One Executive meeting is held each term as noted in the calendar.

Social Justice Programme
The Parents and Friends Association at St Patrick's College assists the boys in year 11 who are members of the Social Justice Group by:
- Providing bread, fruit and or cake for the Night Patrol Van, the boys in conjunction with St Vincent de Paul work into the night making sandwiches and feeding homeless people with the food that the parents donate.
It is in the tradition of Edmund Rice and its emphasis on social justice that the College community contributes and provide assistance to the disadvantaged and those that have difficulty meeting the demands of daily living.
Social Functions
Each year the P & F organize a variety of social functions within the school. Functions for the upcoming year are notified in the College Diary or Espcean and may include:
- Welcome morning tea for year 5 parents.
- Supper following the Welcome Mass.
- Year 5 & 6 Dinner.
- Morning tea following the Mothers’ Day Mass.
- Blue Black and Gold Dinner.
- Trivia Night.
- Supper and prize giving for the major works exhibition.
- Staff appreciation event.
Sub-committees are formed at various times as required to help with the organization of these events.
