Secondary School

The majority of Secondary School sporting teams

participate in a variety of ISA (Independent Sporting Association) competitions. Teams also engage in a number of traditional fixtures with schools from both the CAS and GPS. Games include Cricket, Rugby, Football, Athletics, Swimming, Cross-Country, Tennis, Baseball and Basketball. Competition games are ordinarily played on Saturdays.

Various sporting teams have toured North America, South America, South Africa, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

The College also offers the opportunity for individual tuition in a large range of musical instruments. Boys may belong to a number of bands, ensembles and choirs. Excellence in Music Education is a particular focus of the College.

Other co-curricular activities include the Social Justice Action Group, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Debating, Public Speaking, Mock Trial, College Musical, College Drama and Choir.

All boys are given the opportunity to engage in meaningful and enjoyable experiences based on their interests and ability. The College Co-curricular Programme and sport in particular does much to foster and enhance the wonderful sense of school spirit that clearly exists at St Patrick’s College, Strathfield.
