Junior School

The sporting and co-curricular program at St. Patrick’s College, Strathfield plays a significant role in the schooling lives of every Junior School boy. At SPC, the Junior School is a part of the IPSHA (Independent Primary School Heads of Australia Ltd) and as such competes against other IPSHA schools such as Knox, Waverley, Barker, Shore, Scotts, St. Aloysius, St. Ignatius and Kings. The sporting calendar is basically divided into two seasons, summer and winter. However, there are also Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country competitions that run throughout the year.

With the Junior School fielding as many as twenty five teams in the summer and up to twenty three winter sporting sides, the boys at St. Patrick’s have many opportunities to represent the College. This excellent level of representation enables our boys to lead healthy, well balanced lives.

The College also offers the opportunity for individual tuition in a large range of musical instruments. Boys may belong to a number of bands, ensembles and choirs. Excellence in Music Education is a particular focus of the College.

Other co-curricular activities include Debating and Public Speaking.
