Summer Sport

There are four sports that the Junior School contest for Saturday Sport throughout the summer season, Basketball, Cricket, Softball and Tennis.

Basketball

There are eight Junior Basketball teams with each team containing ten players. Basketball is always a very popular sport with many boys trialling for the available positions. The Junior Basketball uniform consists of black shorts and singlets with a gold trim. Our home games are played in either the Gymnasium or on the outside courts. During the summer season, these teams train twice a week at school under the guidance of our expert coaches.

Cricket

Cricket is the oldest and one of the proudest sports that is played at the College.

Our cricket teams train twice a week on either Breen oval, the Fatima nets or on any of the back College ovals. We play our Saturday home games on a variety of fields at the College and around the local area. These grounds include Breen oval, SPC No 2, 3, 4, Strathfield Park, Rudd Park, Jessie Stewart and Cooke Park.

Softball

Without doubt, our Junior Softball teams are consistently amongst the most successful junior teams in terms of results. Our teams have been undefeated for the past three years which suggests that our coaching and player skill level are outstanding. There are thirty six boys selected to represent the College in our two Softball teams. Their uniform consists of the black College shorts, white College crested shirt and long white socks with gold and blue hoops. The Softball teams train twice a week on SPC No 2 and play the majority of their home games on Breen Oval at the College

Tennis

The junior school has four Tennis teams representing the College with five players in each team. Our teams train twice a week on the outside courts here at school. All home games are played on the synthetic grass courts at Strathfield Recreation Club, which is situated near Strathfield Station. Their uniform consists of the black College shorts, white College crested shirt and short white socks.
