Basketball

St Patrick's competes in the ISA first division and is competitive at all age levels. The season consists of ten regular season games, a semi final and then the grand final.

Training takes place twice a week for each team, from 3.30pm to 5pm, or from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for the 1st V. Games on Saturday are scheduled to take an hour, usually between 9am and 1pm.

A recent highlight for the Basketball community was the trip to the USA in January 2006. A squad consisting of 20 boys was taken to the West Coast of the USA to play a series of games against eight US high schools. The experience gained by the boys from the games will hopefully lead St Patrick’s Basketball to greater heights over the future seasons.
