Baseball

The College Junior School has entered Softball teams in the JSHAA competition for some time. In order to continue a pathway for those interested in the Diamond Game, the College entered teams in the Ryde Hornsby Baseball League for the 2007-08 season. Baseball was the first new sport in the secondary school in 30 years!

This arrangement with the College and RHBL is the first of its kind in Australia and offers the boys the highest level of competition in order to continue the development of their baseball skills.

After a great first two seasons the College is back with their third year of Baseball.

In the 2009/2010 season the College will offer:

  • one Under 14's team - 14 Black will play in the "B" grade of the RHBL
  • two Under 16's teams - 16 Black will play in the "B" grade and 16 Gold will play in the "C" grade
  • one Under 19's team - 19 Black will play in the "B" grade of the brand new Under 19's competition the RHBL has created

Home games will be held at the Major's Bay Reserve in Concord, whilst away games are located anywhere from Hornsby to Balmain.

Training sessions will be held at Hudson Park which is in walking distance of the College. Training for the U14’s will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm
